Longtime Baldwin County resident, wife and mom Danielle Duggar, has announced her campaign for Alabama House of Representatives District 96.

"I'm not a politician," Duggar said. "I'm a wife and mother who wants Alabama to be a better place for the next generation."

As a mother, Duggar said she is passionate about protecting children, the Second Amendment, and medical freedom, as well as limiting government overreach. Her campaign is focused on "faith, family and freedom – not politics."

"I'll always stand up for the children of hard-working families—protecting them from woke agendas and ensuring that parents, not politicians, are in charge of their children's education and values," said Duggar.

The campaign is centered on Baldwin County values and protecting them from the politics of Montgomery.

"You have my commitment that my principles and priorities will be clear, conservative, and consistent from day one," Duggar added. "It's time to cut wasteful spending and lower taxes, so hard-working families keep more of what they earn."

After prayer and preparation, Duggar made the decision to run for the House seat. She and her husband, Wesley, have lived in Baldwin County for 20 years, and she said she is ready for the campaign.

"I look forward to spending the next several months meeting thousands of voters and listening to the issues that matter most to them," Duggar said. "I'm ready to serve House District 96 with integrity, strength, and unwavering conservative principles."

House District 96 includes Daphne, Spanish Fort, Stapleton, Blakeley, Bromley, Belforest and Montrose. State Rep. Matt Simpson (R-Daphne) currently represents the district.
