Former Auburn coach Bryan Harsin seemingly took a shot at his former employer on Monday while wearing a shirt of the school's biggest rival.
Harsin, who was fired midseason in 2022, only his second year on the Plains, posted a congratulatory "Cheers to the winners!" on his X account while quoting James 5:7 from the Bible. In the reflection of the photo of a red coffee cup attached to his post, an Alabama "LANK" shirt can be seen.
"James 5:7 “Patience isn’t Passive.” Cheers to the Winners! Championship Week," he wrote on the app formerly known as Twitter.

"LANK," which stands for "Let All Naysayers Know," became the mantra for the Alabama football team in 2023.
"Therefore be patient, brethren, until the coming of the Lord. See how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, waiting patiently for it until it receives the early and latter rain," reads James 5:7 (NKJV).
The post comes just days after Alabama rolled Auburn in the Iron Bowl by a score of 28-14.
Harsin went 9-12 on the Plains and recorded the lowest winning percentage for a non-interim head coach at Auburn since Earl Brown (1948–1950). He has not worked as a coach since his firing.
