Former Alabama Crimson Tide cornerback Terrion Arnold shared on Tuesday that he and quarterback Jalen Milroe were collaborating on a “LANK” song with country artist Walker Hayes.
“Since you guys are my guys,” Arnold told “The Next Round” hosts on Tuesday, “I’m going to share some insider information that no one knows about. “Walker Hayes, country singer, we got a LANK song coming out.”
LANK, an acronym for “Let a Naysayer Know,” was adopted as the Alabama football team’s motto last season after many counted them out as title contenders. Arnold and Milroe took it even further, creating a brand with the acronym printed on clothing.
Hayes, a Mobile native and huge Alabama football fan, gained his fame from his popular song “Fancy Like,” a hit also known as “The Applebee’s Song."
College football and his love for Alabama football have heavily influenced Hayes' songs, and collaborating with Milroe and Arnold would not be the first time he has teamed up with Alabama football players.
In his song “Y’all Life,” former Alabama defensive lineman Byron Young and receiver Ja’Corey Brooks appeared in the music video, as did LSU gymnast Olivia Dunne, who appeared as a cheerleader. Hayes also references former Alabama football coach Nick Saban in his song “AA.”
No release date has been officially announced, but Arnold did hint at it being before summer is over.
