A memorial event for the late conservative activist Charlie Kirk is scheduled for Sunday in Decatur. Those set to speak at the gathering include U.S. Rep. Barry Moore (R-Enterprise), Gen-Z political commentator Brilyn Hollyhand and worship artist Cheyenne Sanchez.

Hollyhand provided a short statement to 1819 News in relation to the upcoming event.

“You can kill a man, but you can’t kill a movement. The coward who assassinated my friend last week attempted to shut my generation up,” Hollyhand said. “If anything, he woke us up. We will not cower. We will not be silent. We will get off the sidelines to save this nation, one conversation at a time - for Charlie!”

The event is scheduled for September 21 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Fredricks Outdoor, located at 1312 Bethel Road.

Admittance into the venue is free of charge.
