U.S. Rep. Barry Moore (R-Enterprise) said protecting Americans' freedom is his top priority as a congressman and something he might be able to do even better if he wins his bid for Senate.
"For us, it's always been faith, family and freedom," he said Thursday on One America News Network's "The Real Story with Riley Lewis."
"And to me, my number one job as a member of Congress is to protect America's freedom. And the liberty score that I have is second to none. And so for me, it's just allowing American families to make choices for themselves, not for the federal government to ride on our backs, but to come alongside and protect liberty, I think, is the number one thing."
He continued, "But part of that is securing our borders so you can be free to roam around your cities and to go apply for jobs, but also just the development of workforce. You know, in Alabama, from Shoals to Gulf Shores, there's opportunities to bring industry here. So we're going to continue the conservative fight and open the markets for this great state to prosper and for our people to be successful."
Moore said he would also prioritize limiting government, cutting taxes and boosting the workforce.
"There is no government program like a job, my friend… We don't want people to serve government. We want them to serve the good Lord and be free to do as they want and have opportunities to prosper," he said.
