A New York jury found Daniel Penny not guilty of criminally negligent homicide on Monday.

U.S. Rep. Barry Moore (R-Enterprise) called Penny an "American hero" in the case, which garnered national attention.

"NOT GUILTY! Daniel Penny, an American hero and former Marine who was politically targeted by Alvin Bragg for stepping up to protect innocent lives, has been acquitted of all charges and is now a free man! God bless him and his family," Moore said on X on Monday.
