Fresh off his primary U.S. Senate election runoff win on Wednesday, U.S. Rep. Barry Moore (R-Enterprise) reacted to Major League Baseball's decision to publicly admonish players who wrote Bible verses on their uniform's "Pride" hats.
Landon Roupp, JT Brubaker and Ryan Walker wrote Bible verses on their team-issued hats during a Giants pride night game, referencing Genesis 9:12-16.
Moore told Huntsville radio WVNN's "The Yaffee Program" that there appeared to be a double standard regarding free speech, if that speech adhered to the so-called left-wing agenda.
"Well, it reminds me of Tim Tebow when he kneeled on the sideline and said a prayer," Moore said. "I mean, it's just — the left is not tolerant at all. They're all about free speech as long as you're saying what they want you to say. And the minute you push back on that, that becomes an issue. So, they're very hypocritical. They don't, they claim they're for civil liberties but you have when the left, as long as it's their message, yeah, they're for free speech. But any time you speak out, especially if you're a Christian or you try to share your faith, or you push back against this woke, crazy left agenda, then in some kind of way, that's not tolerated in the most tolerant supposedly group in our society. But they're, they're the least tolerant in reality."
