Heritage Action has evaluated Alabama's congressional representatives based on their key votes and sponsorships during the 119th Congress.
On Wednesday, the conservative grassroots organization released its legislative scorecard, showing that U.S. Rep Barry Moore (R-Enterprise) has earned a 100% rating for his overall session score. The lawmaker's score was the only perfect one in Alabama's entire congressional delegation. Moore has also received a 98% lifetime score from the group.
“The people of Alabama expect me to keep my promises, and a 100% rating from Heritage Action shows I’m doing just that - standing firm for limited government, secure borders, fiscal responsibility, and individual freedom," said Moore. "This scorecard reflects the real fights in Congress, from stopping a Central Bank Digital Currency to rolling back reckless spending and woke Biden-era policies."
Moore added, "I’m proud to stand with President Trump and the conservative movement, and will keep working every day to defend Alabama values and put the American people first."
U.S. Rep. Gary Palmer (R-Hoover) earned the next highest rating after Moore with a session score of 96%. Palmer was followed by U.S. Reps. Dale Strong (R-Huntsville) and Robert Aderholt (R-Haleyville), who both received a 73% rating. U.S. Rep. Mike Rogers (R-Saks) received the lowest score out of Republicans in the delegation with a 51% session score.
Alabama's two Democratic congressional representatives, Terri Sewell (D-Birmingham) and Shomari Figures (D-Mobile) were both given 0% ratings on their respective legislative scorecards.
