A Baldwin County attorney accused of attacking a Bay Minette councilman has a history of causing trouble, according to police.

Bay Minette Police Chief Al Tolbert said Harry Still III has a “documented history of aggressive behavior targeting elected officials, including making unfounded allegations of conspiracy and filing meritless lawsuits.”

Bay Minette police arrested Still on Wednesday after police said he entered the business of councilman Matt Franklin and confronted him. The verbal altercation turned physical, with Still being accused of throwing Franklin down and kicking him.

Franklin was treated for minor injuries at a local hospital.

Still was charged with simple assault and placed in the Baldwin County Corrections Center. If he posts his $1,000 bond, he will be prohibited from entering any City of Bay Minette facilities due to “erratic and threatening behavior,” Tolbert said.
