The Birmingham Police Department arrested a man in connection with the death of a 34-year-old woman found dead in her driveway.

Jamarcus Liray Olive, 35, is charged with capital murder.

Investigators believe Olive shot Andreika Robinson while she was in her car near Redstone Drive.

Police responded to a call of a woman lying unresponsive outside her house early Tuesday morning. Birmingham Fire and Rescue Service arrived and pronounced Robinson dead on the scene.

Within eight hours, Olive was taken into custody. He was charged with capital murder due to the victim being in her car when she was shot.

Olive is being held in the Jefferson County Jail with no bond.
