A terrifying moment for two people on Birmingham’s west side has turned into a desperate search for two men.
The Birmingham Police Department released an image of the two people wanted in connection with a carjacking and armed robbery. Investigators are asking for the public’s help in identifying the pair.
The crime occurred Sunday evening in the 1300 block of 3rd Avenue West.
Assistant public information officer De’Rell Freeman said the two men approached a parked vehicle occupied by two people. After starting a conversation, the subjects pulled out firearms and demanded that the occupants get out of the vehicle.
The two subjects got into the vehicle and drove off in an unknown direction.
