Among the many formidable issues facing America today, none is more important to the society's future thriving than fixing illegal immigration, according to 1819 News CEO Bryan Dawson.

On a recent episode of "1819 News: The Podcast," Dawson explained how "toxic empathy" was clouding people's judgment, preventing them from seeing the damaging effects of mass immigration.

"Because people are stupid and have been just imbibing toxic empathy, they can't think clearly about the subject of immigration; they just can't. They think they're being good people. They think they're being Christians. They think they're doing a good thing."

Dawson argued that without first addressing immigration, there won't be a country left to defend against other problems, like abortion.

"When you hear me say immigration is the most important thing, don't hear me saying that abortion isn't a big deal. It is a big deal," he said. "However, immigration is a higher priority than abortion in our current political moment because you can't outlaw abortion in your nation if you don't have a nation. And if we don't fix the immigration situation, we will no longer have a nation. And any hope of outlawing abortion will be gone."

Some issues, like traffic, housing costs, job competition and election integrity, would largely take care of themselves if immigration were handled, Dawson argued. He encouraged citizens to stand firm on the issue, despite the risk of being labeled a "racist."

"If you disagree with this multicultural myth that they're pushing, if you disagree that diversity is our strength, you will be called a racist fascist," he said. "… We're not going to be able to save our nation without being called a racist. It's not going to happen. We're not going to be able to do the things that we need to be able to do without being called racist. If you are not being called racist, it probably means you're not fighting back in a meaningful way."

Dawson concluded, "So let's go back to the Dutton principle. We have a very good thing, and we must protect it. The Dutton principle is: if you build anything worth having, there's going to be someone there trying to take it… We have an obligation to defend our land from being devoured by foreigners. We owe it to our children and future generations. It's not racist to want a nation for your posterity. That is the belief that our founders fought for, and we must fight for it as well."
