*Carver-Montgomery 33, Wetumpka 13: Dominant defense was the key as the Wolverines shut down a good Wetumpka offense. Carver-Montgomery quarterback Christian Johnson also threw four touchdown passes with three coming to Marquan Jamerson. Carver-Montgomery (6-1, 4-0) remains on course for a Class 6A Region 2 showdown with Pike Road. Wetumpka falls to 6-2 overall and 3-2 in the region.
*Muscle Shoals 42, Decatur 28: Muscle Shoals used a pair of blocked punts returned for touchdown to capture the important Class 6A Region 7 game. *Are you ready for the Moody-Leeds showdown next week at Moody? The two rivals are nine miles apart but have played just 14 times on the football field. Musch is the only player to account for nine touchdowns twice.
