A former Bayou La Batre police officer facing sex abuse charges is back behind bars after having his bond revoked Monday.

William “B.J.” Squires is accused of violating his bond by attending a baseball game in Biloxi, Miss. He is not allowed to leave the state.

Squires was indicted for first-degree rape, second-degree rape, first-degree sexual abuse by force and second-degree sexual abuse. The victim was a girl younger than 16 and older than 12, according to court documents.

Squires is being held in the Mobile Metro Jail on no bond, pending a court hearing.

Squires is considered innocent until proven guilty.
