Birmingham Police continue to investigate the two people who shot and killed each other at a well-known LGBTQ club in the city's Southside.

Shane Gady, 32, and Terrance Terrell Brown, Jr., 32, shot each other after a physical altercation inside the club on May 24. However, after investigating and interviewing witnesses, police said they need the public to speak.

BPD Homicide detectives are asking witnesses to come forward to help determine what exactly led to the shooting.

"We have been unable to determine who was the aggressor," BPD officer Truman Fitzgerald told 1819 News. "We need witnesses to come forward so we can properly close the case with facts and not our own opinions."

The shooting was another violent incident at the club that caused safety concerns for the BPD. A double shooting in 2022 claimed one man's life and injured another. In 2021, a Birmingham Police officer working security at the club was shot and injured.

The club opened in the 1970s and is open 24/7 with drag shows and dancing. The club allows the admission of patrons under the age of 21 for a higher cover charge.
