Former U.S. Rep. Bradley Byrne announced he is retiring as president and CEO of the Mobile Area Chamber of Commerce next year.

"It has been an honor to serve as president and CEO of the Chamber the past four years and to be part of the organization's remarkable progress," Byrne said. "The honor of being named one of the top three chambers in the nation is a testament to our Board's leadership and to our great Chamber team. When I was hired, I was asked to commit to serve five years, and that date is now one year away.”

Byrne was named CEO in 2022. He set his retirement for June 30, 2027. The Board of Directors will determine the process for naming Byrne's successor. Byrne will continue to serve in his current role through the transition period.

Since he was named CEO, the Chamber has grown significantly and has been recognized as one of the top three chambers of commerce in the country.
