Covington County pastor and author Jack Armstrong has published a new 365-day devotional for children. “The Wild Path: A Daily Outdoor Devotional for Kids” is designed for young adventurers who love God’s creation.

“I wanted to create something that brings kids closer to both the outdoors and to God,” said Armstrong. “When my boys asked me to write down our stories, I realized they weren’t just outdoor memories — they were lessons in faith.”

The father of three boys said the devotional is the perfect Christmas gift. He hopes it lights a fire in children that will last a lifetime.

As an avid outdoorsman himself, Armstrong wrote daily readings that include real-life outdoor adventure stories about hunting, fishing, camping or hiking, a daily Bible verse, a short devotional that points to Jesus and a closing prayer.

“Whether your child is sitting in a deer stand, riding in the truck, or winding down before bed, “The Wild Path” helps them see that every outdoor adventure points to the greatest adventure of all — walking with Jesus.”

Armstrong told 1819 News that the devotionals invite readers to slow down and discover the truth, wonder and purpose in the great outdoors.

Other works from Armstrong include a trio of outdoor adventure novels: “Mystery in the Marsh,” “Barracuda Bombshell” and “The Comeback on Line Branch Road.”

All of Armstrong’s books are available on Amazon or through his website.
