Endorsements have already begun pouring in for U.S. Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-Auburn) in his bid to be Alabama's next governor, most recently earning one from his Senate colleague, U.S. Sen. Katie Britt (R-Montgomery).

Despite his campaign being only three weeks old, the former Auburn football coach has had massive fundraising success and earned several key endorsements.

The competition for governor appears at this point to be as one-sided as it gets. However, the race for Tuberville's vacant Senate seat is still anyone's game.

On Wednesday, Britt gave an ebullient endorsement for Tuberville's bid, praising his strong "conservative leadership."

"I'm excited to endorse my friend and colleague, Senator Tommy Tuberville, to serve as the next governor of our great state," Britt said. "From strengthening K-12 education and modernizing workforce development to growing good-paying jobs and investing in local infrastructure, we share the mission of putting Alabama First. Coach's strong conservative leadership will serve all Alabamians well in Montgomery. I look forward to continuing to fight for Alabama's people, priorities, and values alongside Governor Tuberville."

Tuberville graciously accepted the endorsement, stating he looked forward to working with her as Alabama's governor.

"I am grateful to be endorsed by my friend and colleague, Senator Katie Britt," said Tuberville. "Katie and I have been fighting for Alabama every day over the past several years in the Senate, and I know we will continue working together when I'm back home in Montgomery. Together, we will make sure Alabama is not just a great place to live, but the very best place to call home."
