In a report filed July 12 with the Federal Election Commission, U.S. Sen. Katie Britt (R-Montgomery) disclosed $779,512.55 in fundraising for her principal campaign committee, Britt For Alabama, Inc.
According to Quiver Quantitative, Britt reported the second-highest fundraising total so far for Q2, with 79.2% of the amount coming from individual donors.
The reporting period was for Quarter 2, from April 1 through June 30. She also disclosed $207,395.47 in expenses during that time, leaving $5,142,206.44 in cash on hand.
Now in her third year of her first term in office, Britt has become somewhat of a rising star, leading the way on multiple hot-button issues and recently passing Lulu's Law.
