After Democrat lawmakers stormed an Immigration and Customs Enforcement facility in New Jersey last week, U.S. Sen. Katie Britt (R-Montgomery) said it couldn't be more clear whose side the Democrats are really on.

"It's clear whose side Democrats are on. They're on the side of child molesters, on gang members, on those who are preying on the most vulnerable and here illegally. Republicans have the backs of the American people," Britt said Monday on Fox News Channel's "Hannity."

"I don't know where this passion was from the Democrats over the last four years, as we saw our border being invaded day after day after day," she continued. "As we saw the heartbreaking stories of people like Laken Riley losing her life, or Rachel Morin or Jocelyn Nungaray, or as you talk to parents coast to coast, Katie, who lost their children to fentanyl poisoning. Where was this energy? Where was this fight? Unfortunately, they don't have that fight for the American people."

Britt also slammed the Democrats for facilitating the trafficking of unaccompanied minors during the Biden administration while fighting for the alleged rights of illegal aliens.

"Eighteen thousand unaccompanied children in March of '21. This past March, we had 600… Those numbers have gone down dramatically. But also, what Democrats do for those unaccompanied children who are being trafficked or abused throughout our interior, and the answer is they didn't ask for questions, they didn't ask for hearings, they didn't fight for those kids the way they're fighting for these illegal, criminal aliens now."

Britt said it was a "new day in America" under President Donald Trump and that Republicans will work with ICE to help solve the illegal immigration problem caused by the Democrats.
