On Tuesday's broadcast of "Rightside Radio," U.S. Sen. Katie Britt (R-Montgomery) touted the capture and arrest of Venezuelan dictator Nicolás Maduro over the weekend following a "large-scale strike" conducted by the U.S. military on the country's capital city of Caracas.
According to Britt, the successful mission showed the world that President Donald Trump's "peace through strength" mantra was "in full effect."
“[O]bviously, a huge day with what President Trump accomplished," Britt said of the mission. "I mean, by the time, obviously, all of us found out Maduro was rightfully on his way to be actually in front of a court of law and justice to be served, which is exactly what should happen. But if you think about just taking a step back of like, what happened and, you know, sending in Delta Force, being able to actually extract him with no American lives lost, you know, moving him back to the United States. It's just, it's huge."
"It speaks to how incredible our military is. I mean, we have the best military in the entire world, and we have seen that on display under President Trump. And the peace through strength mantra that President Trump ran on, we are seeing in full effect today," she added. "And it is absolutely putting the American people in a safer and a more secure posture each and every day."
