Auburn head basketball coach Bruce Pearl is speaking out against presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Vice President Kamala Harris' running mate, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz (D), because of his relationship with controversial U.S. Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.).

Omar has been criticized numerous times for making anti-Israel remarks, including attempts to censure her in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Pearl swiftly decried Harris' selection, saying on Tuesday that Walz and Omar posing for a get-out-the-vote photo in 2018 "says enough" about the governor.

On Thursday, the outspoken Jewish head coach expounded more on why he was against Walz having a friendly relationship with Omar in response to a clip of Walz calling her "wonderful" and saying her being in Congress brightened him up.

After pointing out that Omar had asked President Joe Biden to withhold weapons from Israel due to possible war crimes in Gaza, Pearl argued the majority of Omar's work in Congress was "anti America, antisemitic and anti Israel."

The coach also shared a tweet in which the Republican Jewish Coalition referred to Omar as "disgraceful" because she had "trafficked antisemitic conspiracy theories, falsely accused Israel of genocide and apartheid, and voted against funding for the Iron Dome missile defense system that is currently protecting countless innocent civilians in Israel from terrorist rockets."
