The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is asking for information on two people caught on camera robbing the Brighton Bingo Hall.
The robbery happened on Christmas Eve at 121 Patton Avenue. Detectives released surveillance video on Wednesday.
Two men can be seen entering an office and taking money from an unsecured safe. One of them is wearing all black and a black face mask. The other is wearing a white T-shirt and khaki pants. Both men are wearing black baseball caps.
A person of interest, Ronnie Black, has been identified, and investigators are asking for information on his whereabouts. They say Black is not charged with a crime but may have pertinent information.
Jefferson County has been at the center of bingo hall conversations among Alabama’s top law enforcement.
Attorney General Steve Marshall said not only are bingo halls illegal, but they also breed crime.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office at 205-325-1450 or Crime Stoppers at 205-254-7777.
