A mural honoring the late conservative activist and TurningPoint USA founder Charlie Kirk was unveiled Tuesday in downtown Hanceville on what would have been Kirk’s 32nd birthday.
The mural features a timeline of Kirk’s life and various photos of him with President Donald Trump, Vice President JD Vance and his wife, Erika. Images in the mural are accompanied by some of Kirk’s more well known quotes on faith, education and freedom.
It’s not just Hanceville residents marking Kirk’s birthday- Alabama’s two senators have taken to social media, honoring him as well.
U.S. Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-Auburn) posted a photo of himself and Kirk calling him one of the "most influential people in America."
U.S. Sen. Katie Britt (R-Montgomery) said she “wished a happy birthday to Charlie Kirk in heaven” and praised President Trump for awarding Kirk the Presidential Medal of Freedom.
Kirk will be posthumously awarded the Presidential of Freedom by Trump on Tuesday. It is the highest honor the White House can give a civilian.
