Clarke County Commissioner for District 3 Barry Chancey is being challenged in the Republican primary by Coffeeville resident Joe Parden.
Chancey is running on a faith, family, country and local community platform. The Clarke County native says he is a fiscal conservative working to see the “community progress and prosper.” Chancey worked at the PCA Jackson paper mill for more than 30 years, rising to corporate and logistics leadership roles.
Parden, a lifelong resident of District 3 worked for 42 years in the logging, lumber and livestock business. If elected, Parden voted to “improve the quality of life for citizens” by bringing answers to citizens. Vowing to be “always available,” Parden has offered his email and phone number to constituents throughout his campaign.
The two will face off on Tuesday. Polls open at 7 a.m. and close at 7 p.m.
