Killer Beaz is the stage name for Truett S. Beasley Jr, born in 1953. He is an American stand-up comedian with a strong southern accent and a loyal following in the Southern United States.

He was born in Andalusia. The family moved to Mississippi, where Truett was voted wittiest of his class. That turned out to be prophetic.

He began his career as a musician playing guitar in a blues band. He first performed as a comic in 1982 when a bar owner requested a comedian. With no real outlets for comedy, he worked as an opening act for bands.

He felt led into full-time comedy and relocated to Nashville, where he was embraced for his strong accent.

He made hundreds of appearances on The Nashville Network and CMT. He appeared on over 100 television programs and became known for the catchphrase "save up."

On his 1996 album NASCAR: Hotter Than Asphalt, Killer Beaz recorded a song named "Save Up" backed up by Lynyrd Skynyrd, an iconic Southern rock band that complemented the voice and accent of Killer Beaz.

His life took a tragic turn that interrupted his career. His parents were both killed in 2005 by a drunk driver in an eighteen-wheeler. The loss left him unwilling to perform for over a year, and he went into a period of "semi-retirement."

His first major-label comedy album, Don’t Ever Touch Anybody You Don’t Know, was released in 2013 on Jack Records.

Beasley has also acted in the television series Moonshiners. His voice and accent filled the bill.

Beasley and his wife decided to relocate to Mobile to raise their children in a Christian environment. They remain a quiet, church-going family in Mobile – except when he tours and performs, which is not quiet.
