The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office investigated an alleged cockfighting ring after drone video showed men carrying dead roosters on the property, authorities say.
According to court documents, Eric Alan Hill, 61, of Bryant, is charged with gambling-cockfighting.
WHNT reported that an animal rights organization captured the drone video along County Road 290.
Hill was later arrested and booked into the Jackson County Jail Thursday morning and was released. He is considered innocent until proven guilty.
The case is scheduled for court on August 7.
