A man given a suspended sentence for the electronic solicitation of a child was re-arrested on Wednesday for violating the Sex Offender Registration and Notification Act (SORNA).
Isaac Rayo, 26, was booked into the Franklin County Jail on no bond.
WHNT reported Rayo was sentenced to 10 years, split with one year to serve, and he was given 235 days of jail credit. Child sex abuse charges were dismissed as part of the sentence.
Court documents leading to the arrest of Rayo on Thursday state he will face new criminal charges, but did not detail what those charges will be.
A judge will determine whether Rayo’s jail term will begin immediately, be extended or if other consequences will be handed down.
