A woman died Tuesday night after falling from the Birmingham-Jefferson Civic Center (BJCC) parking deck, located on Ninth Avenue North.
Birmingham police and fire were called to the scene around 11:40 p.m.
They discovered the woman deceased on the sidewalk beside the parking deck. Investigators determined she fell from the sixth floor.
The woman's name and age have not been released.
Jefferson County Coroner Bill Yates said the circumstances surrounding the death are being investigated.
