The Mobile County Sheriff’s Office announced the arrest of a cross-dressing suspect in connection with several porch pirate cases.
Todd Anthony Boyd was pulled over for speeding on Friday in the area of Boe Road extension and Spanish Trail.
Deputies spotted several packages in Bond’s Ford Escape and said the packages matched the description of stolen packages. The sheriff's office said video surveillance captured the crime.
Upon further investigation, deputies determined Bond was also in possession of packages stolen from Mississippi.
Bond was booked into the Mobile Metro Jail for first-degree theft of property.
"Thank you to our Team Sheriff Facebook followers who assisted in helping us solve this crime,” said Sheriff Paul Burch. “At this time of year we encourage people when ordering and having packages delivered, please make sure someone is at your home, or make sure you arrange with your delivery service some type of alert to let you know when your packages are arriving. In this case, the victim had great camera surveillance and we were able to identify him with the help of the community.”
Bond is considered innocent until proven guilty.
