The Morgan County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) engaged in a standoff Tuesday morning with an armed individual who barricaded himself in a home.
The individual closed himself inside a residence in the 1600 block of Kirby Bridge Road in Danville, according to authorities. Deputies arrived on the scene at around 8 a.m.
Police attempted to communicate with the individual and managed to remove other occupants from the residence.
At 9:31 a.m., officials reported on MCSO’s Twitter page that the individual had been taken into custody.
When 1819 News reached out to the Morgan County Sheriff’s for an update about the situation, there was no response.
