The Daphne Police Department said two men were found Tuesday night wounded from gunshot wounds.

Officers located the men inside a van at the 10X Audubon Apartments after receiving calls about shots fired.

Demond Walker, 20 and an 18-year-old had gunshot wounds to the head and neck. The officers, along with Daphne FireMedics, rendered life-saving measures on the young men and transported them to USA Hospital.

They were both in critical condition in the intensive care unit as of Wednesday morning.

The identity of the 18-year-old was being held pending notification of the family.

Both men are residents of the apartment complex. They are unable to communicate with the police to tell them what happened.

Evidence was recovered from the scene, and investigators are following leads.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact Daphne Police investigators at (251) 620-0151.
