Supporters of Keith Sullivan, the defendant in a Dekalb County murder case, are concerned that a not-guilty verdict could have been reached if the judge had listened to the defense about a possible tainted juror.

Keith Sullivan is on trial for the murder of Gregory Bagwell, who was shot on Sullivan's front porch in May 2023. The defense previously claimed Sullivan deserved immunity under the state's Stand Your Ground law, but that request was denied.

Sullivan's attorneys alerted the judge about the problem juror. They claimed he was biased due to his connection with the district attorney's office. They said the juror had a connection, and he was not honest while being questioned.

Further, the juror made Facebook posts indirectly referencing the deliberations, attorneys claimed.

Sullivan is represented by New York attorneys Raiser and Kenniff, OC, the same team that represented Daniel Penny, who was acquitted in the death of Jordan Neely on a New York City subway after placing Neely in a chokehold that led to Neely's death.
