A candidate in Alabama’s sixth congressional district special Democratic primary says she left her place of employment in February after she threatened U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents with food poisoning and anaphylaxis should they visit the establishment.
Ashtyn Kennedy, a member of the Alabama Progress Discord server, which has a channel dedicated to tracking and impeding ICE operations, also reportedly verified and confirmed the whereabouts of immigration authorities in the Prattville area.
On February 4, after being tipped off that ICE agents were staying at a LaQuinta Inn in Prattville, Kennedy said in the channel that she would "swing by to see if I see any nazis… and will report back."

Following through on her post, she called the hotel, inquiring about the location of agents and waited in a nearby Waffle House parking lot to confirm their whereabouts, writing that she has "friends who live all around here in Prattville,” who will "keep lookouts at separate times to see if we can find the bastards."

In a separate message, Kennedy expressed her intention to harm ICE agents through exploiting possibly fatal food allergies at her place of employment, Buffalo Wild Wings in Prattville.
"If they come in, I’ll let y'all know ASAP," she said. "I’ve decided that instead of physically confronting or denying to serve them, I’m going to serve them and then 1000% do things I can’t type out just in case we got opps hanging out. It’s going to be hard to hurt others if they’re stuck on the toilet for a few days at the very least."

"In my dreams, I’ll have them, and one of them will tell me they have a severe onion allergy or really any allergy. At that point, what happens is up to god," added Kennedy.

A week after saying she would harm the ICE agents, she told the Discord group that someone had sent screenshots of her messages to her employer. She told those in the server that the district manager told her to show her the full conversations, and instead of showing the conversations, she quit, telling her boss, "I don't care you can keep this job."

The special Democratic primary for Alabama's CD-6 is scheduled for August 11, with the general election for the seat set for November 3. The office is currently occupied by U.S. Rep. Gary Palmer (R-Hoover).
