Wednesday on Newsmax's "The Chris Salcedo Show," U.S. Sen. Katie Britt (R-Montgomery) doubled down on her call for Democrats to stop their growing trend of violent rhetoric, whether it be the July 4 "organized attack" on ICE agents or the recent Texas flood.

According to Britt, the behavior from the left as a means to push back against immigration policies or criticize their political opponents is "despicable" and "disgusting." She urged Democrats to call out the violent behavior to put an end to it.

"We have to unite," Britt declared. "The rhetoric that we are hearing, the behavior from the left, it is despicable and it is disgusting. We need to be crystal clear. There are no gray areas in this."

"[T]hey were calling for blood in order to have action," she continued. "We've heard them say ... that these flood victims deserved it because they were MAGA voters. I mean, this is absolutely gross, and it shouldn't be tolerated. And you think about this, the left, and what they continue to egg on, this should be something that we should universally be able to stand shoulder to shoulder, both Democrat and Republican, and say this is fundamentally un-American."

"They should be loud, and they should be crystal clear that that type of rhetoric, that type of behavior has to end today," Britt concluded.
