MONTGOMERY — The Alabama Senate approved two new appointments to the Ethics Commission this week.
House Speaker Nathaniel Ledbetter (R-Rainsville) appointed David Dodd, a Fort Payne attorney, to the commission. Dodd is a partner and the president of Scruggs, Dodd & Brisendine Attorneys, P.A. In addition to his work at the firm, he serves as municipal judge for the Town of Crossville, according to his law firm's website. His term on the commission ends on August 31, 2028.
Lieutenant Gov. Will Ainsworth appointed a Senate contract employee and retired House clerk Greg Pappas to the Alabama Ethics Commission. Pappas' term will end on August 31, 2027.
Stan McDonald resigned from the Ethics Commission in April.
