The son of Dog the Bounty Hunter, whose real name is Duane Chapman, made headlines after being involved in a deadly crash over the weekend.
Garry Chapman, an officer with the Priceville Police Department, was placed on administrative leave following the crash.
WHNT reported Chapman was among a group of officers put on leave as part of standard procedure.
Hartselle police and Priceville police were chasing a suspect on Highway 36 when the driver crashed into another vehicle, killing 17-year-old Tristan Hollis and injuring multiple others.
Police said they were pursuing the driver for suspicion of driving under the influence and moving violations.
