A new online poll is making several negative accusations against Republican House District 11 candidate Don Fallin.

The poll titled "Alabama House District 11 Election Survey" was sent out via text on Monday, linking to a research.net domain. The 15-question survey begins with general inquiries about the HD11 race before making several claims about Fallin's background, campaign finances and motivation for running.

1819 News asked Fallin to respond to the accusations made in the poll, specifically questions 5-10.

His responses as follows:

5. If you knew Don Fallin had repeatedly lied about being a native of District 11, when actually he was born in deep-blue democrat-run Chicago, Illinois, would this make you more or less likely to support him?

The Fallin family has lived in Cullman and Blount County for over four generations. My dad was the son of a sharecropper, economic conditions for his family lead him to find work elsewhere when he was 16, I lived and was raised in Cullman since I was 11 months old and lived here until I volunteered to enlist as a Private in the Army when I was 18, moving back after serving my country for 30+ years as a Soldier.

6. If you knew that Don Fallin had taken nearly 50 contributions totaling more than $10,000 from out of state donors in deep-blue, radical liberal states like New York, Illinois, New Jersey, Colorado, Washington DC, and many more, would this make you more or less likely to support him?

My values and policy positions are clear to the public. Friends and family from across the country support me and my values. This includes Alabama veterans and active duty service members who are deployed across the country serving our nation. I appreciate their support and will do everything in my power to ensure that Alabama remains the greatest state in the country.

7. If you knew Don Fallin’s campaign and his donors had been colluding with media outlets to defame his opponent with misleading and false information, including one outlet who published an article by an author who contributed to Fallin’s campaign just 24 hours after the article was published, would this make you more or less likely to support him?

My campaign has an open-door policy; communicating with organizations and individuals help inform voters. I will remain transparent and accessible. If someone donates to me for access, it is a poor investment because I will talk with anyone. That is the job of state representative. My phone number is 1.256.338.5647.

8. If you knew that Don Fallin sent an internal email to his campaign team and party elites prior to launching his campaign, stating he would, “Lead with violence and destroy everything in our path,” would this make you more or less likely to support him?

This was the motto of my son’s infantry unit in Hawaii. I condemn all forms of political violence, and any attempt to take me quoting my son’s unit motto out of context, is not only irresponsible, but also an attack on the military service my family has put forward. This is unacceptable.

9. If you knew that Don Fallin was supported by party bosses and was recently endorsed by a special interest group who proposed a bill that would radically increase the cost of prescription medication, adding up to a $10 tax on each prescription filled, with Fallin stating he was “Honored to receive their endorsement,” would this make you more or less likely to support him?

I will always support small businesses, and our local independent pharmacies are no exception. I will always be honored to receive the support from the small businesses that make our community great.

10. If you knew that Don Fallin has said he wouldn’t listen to Montgomery Special Interest Groups, but behind the scenes has actually accepted thousands of dollars and endorsements from special interest groups and political action committees, would this make you more or less likely to support him?

We have received overwhelming support from veterans’ organizations and that is hardly what I would call a special interest. I am proud to have the support from my fellow veterans and will always have their back in Montgomery.

Fallin has accused his GOP opponent, Heath Allbright, of being hand-picked by "Montgomery officials and special interests," pointing to the many political action committees donating to his campaign.

Allbright issued a video statement Sunday denying Fallin's assertion, adding that he would "stay positive" and not engage in character attacks.

The negative poll was sent less than 24 hours later. Allbright's campaign said it was not involved in the poll and that he is "running a positive campaign."
