Houston County Circuit Judge John Steensland III denied a temporary restraining order requested by Dothan pastor Kenneth Glasgow, the half-brother of Al Sharpton, on Monday to delay municipal elections in Dothan.
Glasgow alleged in his lawsuit on Monday that Houston County and State officials were denying incarcerated individuals who were “legal residents” of Dothan the right to vote.
Glasgow requested the court delay the municipal election set for Tuesday in Dothan. However, Steensland denied the request but scheduled a hearing for late August.
Glasgow pleaded guilty to federal tax evasion, mail fraud and drug conspiracy charges in 2023.
