State Sen. Chris Elliott (R-Josephine) endorsed State Rep. Frances Holk-Jones (R-Foley) in the Republican primary runoff election.

“During her term in the Legislature, Frances has helped our Baldwin County delegation bring home the essential road, bridge and public education dollars that Alabama's fastest growing area demands,” Elliott stated. “She has earned respect in the committee rooms, corridors and chambers of the Alabama State House and Frances has the experience necessary to ensure that Baldwin County keeps winning in Montgomery.”

Elliott is the only lawmaker in the Baldwin County delegation to endorse another member. Elliott and Holk-Jones were the only two challenged candidates in the Baldwin County delegation to advance beyond the May primary.

Holk-Jones, a lifelong resident of Baldwin County, is an insurance agent and co-founder of the Jennifer Claire Moore Foundation.

Alabama House District 95 represents the areas of Foley, Gulf Shores, Orange Beach, Elberta, Perdido Beach and the communities of Bon Secour, Fort Morgan, Josephine and Ono Island.

The primary runoff election is June 16.
