Thursday, U.S. Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-Auburn) joined "The Dan Bongino Show" to discuss the filibuster and legislation aimed at strengthening election integrity nationwide.
The Republican told Bongino that several Democratic states in the country "cheat" voters through lax voting laws, pointing to the SAVE America Act as a possible answer to the alleged fraud.
"There are about 15 blue states that they're cheating the hell out of the American people, especially when it comes to federal elections, and that's the reason we got to bust the filibuster," said Tuberville. "Enough's enough with tradition in the Senate."
"We have got to make sure that next November, we have a chance to elect people, even in a blue state, whether it's in Congress or whether it's in the Senate," Tuberville stressed. "If we don't do something about voter ID, ballot harvesting, all these nonsensical things that they do when it comes to voting for two weeks, the American people have no chance. So we have to get this done. It's the number one thing I think that we have to do between now and November here in the Senate, because last night, they passed it [SAVE America Act] in the House, and we've got to do something."

Tuberville said he doesn't expect Democrats to cross over and vote in favor of the legislation, including U.S. Sen. John Fetterman (D-Penn.), who is seen by some as a more moderate liberal.
"Everybody talks about Fetterman. He talks the good game, but he never votes with us," Tuberville stated. "At the end of the day, he likes to talk on television, but if you look at the Democrats, we're not going to get any of their votes. Got to get 60. So what do we have to do? We have to bust the filibuster and do 51. Now I'm going to tell you this, if we bust a filibuster, we've got four or five senators that they don't vote for their state, they vote for themselves. They hate Donald Trump."
"They hate him, and so at the end of the day, we're not going to be able to get it done unless we have our leadership step up and say, 'Get in line here,'" Tuberville added.
Tuberville then explained the possible consequences of failing to pass and enact the SAVE America Act.
"No matter what we do, we've got to get it done before November. If we don't, it's a very big possibility that the House will go to the Democrats," he noted. "The Senate will go to the Democrats. President Trump will be on the run for two years. Our economy will suffer because of it. Our country will suffer, our borders will suffer and law enforcement will suffer. There are so many things that hang on the cliff here because President Trump has got everything rolling in the right direction, but the Democrats know they are real close to convincing a lot of these people, don't vote for this guy."
"Let's just run the clock out so we can take this country back over again as socialists," Tuberville concluded.
The SAVE America Act would require voters to show proof of citizenship when registering to vote and to present photo identification when casting ballots. Additionally, the bill would end mail-only registrations.
