Law enforcement in the Wiregrass has worked for weeks searching for the missing two-year-old Genesis Reid. With the latest revelation being that the child was likely thrown in the dumpster by her mother after Christmas, officers have been working overtime to recover the baby’s body.
Community members have come together in support of the Enterprise Police Department. In support of their efforts, the Wiregrass Christian Academy brought snacks and local restaurants donated meals. A Girl Scout troop dropped off cookies for officers. For spiritual support, chaplain Cpt. Ethan Page and Pastor Harrison Smith brought breakfast and took time to speak with officers and pray.

“Your kindness does not go unnoticed,” Enterprise Police stated for all those who have helped.
“Gestures of support like these mean more than words can express,” the department continued. “We are thankful to be a part of a community that stands together during challenging times.
EPD asked for continued prayers for Reid’s loved ones.
The child's mother, Adrienne Reid, reported her daughter missing on February 16 and was subsequently arrested for false reporting to law enforcement. Detectives later determined the child had not been seen since Christmas Day. The mother has since been charged with capital murder and abuse of a corpse. She is considered innocent until proven guilty.
