The Alabama Department of Corrections (ADOC) is searching for an inmate who escaped a job assignment in Summerdale.

Jackie Dewayne Littrell, 62, escaped at approximately 2:30 p.m. Monday, wearing state-issued clothing. He is 6 feet 1 inch tall and weighs 170 pounds.

Littrell is serving a life sentence at the Loxley Community-Based Facility/Community Work Center for first-degree robbery. He was sentenced to life without parole in 2014 under Alabama’s Habitual Offender Act.
