It was a close call Tuesday night for Eufaula Mayor Jack B. Tibbs, Jr.. He narrowly won the runoff election against challenger Chris Beam.
Tibbs received 1,502 votes to Beam's 1,402 votes, winning by 52%.
Ahead of the election, Tibbs predicted the race would be close.
Tibbs, the founder of StrikeZone Lure Company, has over 40 years of experience in business management and marketing.
Tibbs will begin his fourth term as mayor in November.
