Everett Wess won the Democrat primary runoff for U.S. Senate on Tuesday. 

Wess, a Birmingham attorney and former judge, defeated Dakarai Larriett by a 55% to 45% margin. 

Wess garnered 48,999 votes to Larriett's 40,586 votes, with around 95% of the votes in.

Wess will face U.S. Rep. Barry Moore (R-Enterprise) in the November general election.
