Despite his numerous futile efforts over the years to be a significant player in the Birmingham political scene, Carlos Chaverst Jr., a political consultant and Black Lives Matter activist, is resorting to profanity-laced misogynistic emails to reporters in an attempt to get his way.

Although he has relocated to Colorado, Chaverst remains engaged in the Birmingham political scene.

Chaverst took issue with an 1819 News report about Birmingham's Carver High teacher Jasmine Faith Clisby's decision to publicly express her disdain for Briarwood's decision to offer a public prayer honoring the late Charlie Kirk on social media.

What a dumb bitch you are. To write an entire article about a woman. You have nothing better to do you low life scum. Fuck Charlie Kirk. I’m personally paying for a lawyer for the young lady and we will sue 1819 News until we own it. You can’t defame someone. Dumb bitch.

Exploiting tragedy is not new for Charverst. In 2018, Charverst used the 2018 death of Emantic "EJ." Bradford Jr., who died in an officer-involved shooting at the Riverchase Galleria in Hoover, for self-promotion.
