The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office identified the victim in a domestic shooting that occurred Sunday in Fairfield.
Ja’Oree Marquel Brown-Allen, 29, was pronounced dead on the scene at 5051 Parkway Alley at 1:43 a.m.
The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the death. Detectives said a 27-year-old woman was taken into custody but not yet charged. They believe a verbal dispute between relatives led to shots being fired.
