Alabama football will have uncertainty at the quarterback position going into the 2025 season, but one thing that is for certain is that whoever starts for the Crimson Tide will have one of the best wide receiver rooms in college football.

In the offseason, the Crimson Tide brought in Miami transfer Isaiah Horton to go along with last season's leading receiver, Ryan Williams, and vocal leader for the group, Germie Bernard.

Bernard, who followed head coach Kalen DeBoer from Washington, was Alabama's second-leading receiver last season with 50 catches and nearly 800 yards. The Washington transfer had the opportunity to leave after last season to test the NFL waters, but decided to return to Alabama for his senior year to further develop his skills.

Faith in God plays a major role in Bernard's life both on and off the field. Last season, Bernard posted select Bible verses on his eyeblack each week. He discussed how he selects the different verses and their purpose during a recent interview with "The Next Round."

"Right now, I'm in the book of Matthew," Bernard said. "I just pray to God each week, whatever comes to You and You want me to be able to show others and lead others to You, please put that on my heart. I think He does that a lot of the time, and I'm so grateful to have that relationship with Him that I can do that."

"I just want people to know that God is a faithful God, and if you are obedient to his word and what he wants you to do with your life, you're going to be blessed. So I just pray each week and hope and have faith that he's going to be able to give me the right words to be able to express to somebody else because somebody else does need that," he added.
