The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) is investigating a fiery crash that claimed the life of a Camp Hill man Saturday evening. The crash occurred on U.S. 280, eight miles west of Auburn.
Marcus S. Edwards, 44, was killed when the 2013 Dodge Durango left the roadway, struck a ditch and then rear-ended a tractor-trailer that was parked on the side of the road. The Durango caught fire after hitting the tractor-trailer.
ALEA responded at 10:08 p.m., along with local agencies from Lee County and Auburn.
Edwards was pronounced dead at the scene.
