Samford at Furman (Noon, ESPN+) … The Samford defense passed a tough test against Western Carolina. Time for another tough Southern Conference test.

Huntingdon at Maryville, (Noon) … Quarterback Landon Cotney accounted for 434 yards and six touchdowns against Maryville in a 52-33 Huntingdon win last season.

Faulkner at Campbellsville (12:30 p.m.) … Will Saturday’s overtime win help jump-start the Eagles' offense?

Kennesaw State at Jacksonville State (1 p.m, ESPN+) … Gamecocks return home after three weeks on the road to finally begin ASUN Conference play.

Miles College at Albany State (1 p.m., ESPN) … Albany State is averaging 230 yards rushing and three rushing touchdowns per game. Miles College has been strong defensively against the run but susceptible to the pass.

Bethune-Cookman at Alabama A&M (2 p.m.) … The Bulldogs are back at home and still looking for their first win of the season.

Shorter at West Alabama (2 p.m.) … The Tigers have scored just 17 points in back-to-back losses to Tuskegee and West Georgia.  

Alabama at Arkansas (2:30 p.m., CBS) … Did Arkansas’ loss to Texas A&M take a little luster off this matchup?  

Tuskegee at Clark Atlanta (4 p.m.) … Tuskegee has won two games in a row behind a defense that allowed less than 300 yards in each game.

South Alabama at Louisiana (4 p.m.) …  Two teams headed in different directions meet in Louisiana. South Alabama is a last-second field goal away from being unbeaten. Louisiana has back-to-back losses to Rice and Louisiana-Monroe.

LSU at Auburn (6 p.m., ESPN) … Can Auburn continue the Jordan-Hare luck against LSU?

Alabama State at Texas Southern (6 p.m.) … Texas Southern allowed 19 sacks in the first four games.

Troy at Western Kentucky (6 p.m., ESPN+) … Troy’s schedule makers made sure that Jon Sumrall’s first season won’t be easy to navigate. The Hilltoppers have one of the top passing attacks in the country.

Berry College at Birmingham-Southern (6 p.m.) … This is the 10th meeting between the schools. Birmingham-Southern leads the series, 5-4.

UAB at Rice (6:30 p.m., ESPN+) … Anyone remember what happened when Rice came to Protective Stadium last season? It’s probably impossible to find someone in either program that doesn’t vividly remember Rice 30, UAB 24.
